Lay it Down by Bill Tell

Helping you find freedom by laying down performance-driven Christianity. There is a place for you here. Welcome.

Is God a Pirate That Can Never be Pleased?

Posted on February 11, 2016 Written by Bill Tell 2 Comments

Yesterday I had the privilege of talking with my friend John Lynch. John is a pastor at Open Door Fellowship in Phoenix and also a part of the TrueFaced team. He has played a key role over the years helping me lay down performance driven Christianity. In this entertaining three minute video John talks about the futility of trying to do in the flesh what only God can do by his Spirit in me.  It’s a must watch!

Question:

  1. What work do you need God to do in you that you can’t do yourself?

Action Steps:

  1. Share this with a Facebook friend.
  2. Remember to become a subscriber by entering your email. You will get a quick note reminding you there is a new post.

    Ditto.
Last Sunday my pastor referenced Scott Hoezee who says “We can be fairly sure that most people come to church to hear about grace.” They/we already know our faults from the conviction of the Holy Spirit.
This is probably why I enjoy The Cure and hearing John Lynch’s talks. Nice to know he’s still at it.
